Kanyisa Ntontela joined the Mazi Asset Team in August 2025 in as a Portfolio Manager focused on Fixed Interest. Kanyisa joined Absa Asset Management in 2017, where she worked closely with Eben Maré in the Absolute Return team, contributing to portfolio construction, risk management and multi-asset strategy implementation. Prior to this, she was an Investment Analyst at Perpetua Investment Management, where she covered both South African and Global Equities as well as Fixed Income, developing a broad, cross-asset perspective and deep analytical capability. She also gained valuable experience at Investec Asset Management, focusing on South African equities, further strengthening her bottom-up research expertise. She began her career at Oasis Asset Management, progressing from graduate analyst to covering South African and Global Equities, and later specialising in Fixed Income. This early exposure across asset classes laid the foundation for her multi-asset and absolute return expertise. With experience spanning equities, fixed income and multi-asset strategies across leading South African asset managers, she brings both depth and breadth of investment expertise to her role.
